Cranberries are in season right now, so we're making the most of how good they are by adding them into this weeks smoothie recipe. 

Here's what you'll need: 

1/2 a cup of cranberries
1 medium apple
1 teaspoon of manduka honey
1 cup of non fat greek yoghurt
1/2 cup of almond milk
1/2 cup of ice

Cranberries: a very good source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and manganese, as well as a good source of vitamin E, vitamin K, copper and pantothenic acid. Cranberries can prevent urinary tract infections and boost overall health. Chock-full of antioxidants, the fruit has been used for its medicinal properties for hundreds of years and is a common natural remedy to this day.

Apples: a good source of fiber, including both soluble and insoluble pectins, and it's also a good source of vitamin C. Apple nutrients are disproportionately present in the skin, which is a particularly valuable part of the fruit with respect to its nutrient content.

Manduka Honey:  the nutritional content is up to 4 times that of normal flower honeys and is full of Amino acids, B vitamins (B6, thiamin, niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid), Calcium, Copper, Iron,  Magnesium,  Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc. Historically honey has been used for medicinal purposes dating back thousands of years, and manduka honey is used range from healing sore throats and digestive illnesses, to curing Staph infections and gingivitis.
