WHY SCHEDULING TIME FOR YOURSELF NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO YOUR CALENDAR
It's all too easy these days to put your kids, your family, your work, your friends or in fact absolutely everything first before your own needs. Now, we're not here to tell you "don't do that" cause it could just be part of your personality and thinking about others is such a very important characteristic we need more of that right now. However, we are here to help you reevaluate your schedule and encourage you to find time to plan in activities that you really enjoy.
1 YOU NEED TIME OUT.
We all need to turn work, "mummy-mode", "supportive-friend" off at least once a week. We're not all lucky enough to not worry about work after we've left the office, but that doesn't mean you can't turn it off for an hour while you go get your nails done (or prefered activity of your choice). When you take time out from your life roles, you'll begin to reconnect to your true self again, not your 'Job title'
2 HELP YOU SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE
It's easy to get really overwhelmed and stressed out when you're in the thick of any situation that's not ideal, by giving yourself some time out and switching off, it will help you step back and see the full picture. Allowing you to collect your thoughts better, and act in a more rational way. Which is better for everyone involved - especially you!
3 LIFT YOUR SPIRITS
When we spend most of our lives at work, it's easy not to find time doing things you love. That game of tennis, going to a gig or even seeing a movie start to fall short to you making lunches, prepping for the day ahead or running the kids around. That is exactly why you need to re juggle the calendar and get one of those things into it, somehow. Partaking in an activity that you enjoy will lift your spirits and remind you that there is more to life than just work.
Whatever you decide to do, having that time on your own will help you refocus, because you're removing yourself from your routine environment. Allowing your mind to settle and regroup. Which is essential to keeping on track with your goals and aspirations.
5 ENJOYING YOURSELF
Spending time alone is the ultimate luxury! You get to hang out with you, just you! You'll be able to remember how great you are and enjoy the aspects of yourself that the people in your life love so much! Enjoy your own company, you'll be surprised how much you do enjoy it!
