FIVE FAST FACTS FRIDAY: SMOOTHIES

In case you didn’t know we post a Smoothie recipe every Saturday. We call it “Smoothie Saturday”. We started this weekly post, mainly because we love smoothies so much, but also because we love finding new smoothie recipes to try and we realized we weren’t alone.

So this weeks fast facts post is dedicated to smoothies and things you might not have known about them.

1. A smoothie is a drink constructed from whole ingredients that are pulped and blended together, so you get the nutrients gradually. Not to be confused with a juice. A juice is such juice, nothing else. 

2. You can add boosters to your smoothies, like protein, or a superfood. Examples of superfood boosters are:
Maca powder, blueberries, Kale, Coconut Water, Chia Seeds.

3. Smoothies can be full of your daily allowance of fruit and vegetables. 
They are a great way to get all your veggies and fruits -so pack 'em in! 

4. Consuming regular healthy smoothies can help you sleep and improve brain functionality! This is because they are improving your health overall, allowing your body to work more efficiently. Load up your smoothie with lots of key ingredients and give your brain all the vitamins and nutrients it needs to improve your mental clarity, focus, and memory. Say goodbye to brain fog.
