WHY YOU SHOULD BE EATING MORE BROCCOLI
We're not even going to try and hide our sincere love for this vegetable! We've been known to go as far as stating "No day is complete unless Broccoli has been consumed"! Yes - the love is crazy deep! But, is it actually as good for us, as we think?!
The simple answer is yes. Some might consider it a very non-exciting veggie. One that is often at dinners and accompanied by carrots (also unexciting) and possible cauliflower. Broccoli is known to as natures broom because it helps remove toxins and free radicals from the body.
It's packed full of fiber, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin E, manganese, phosphorus, choline, vitamin B1, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), potassium and copper. Broccoli is also a good source of vitamin B1, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, zinc, calcium, iron, niacin and selenium.
What does that all mean, well to sum it up, here's the benefits to broccoli:
If you are only going to eat one vegetable today - let it be broccoli.
