The temperatures start to drop and all you want to do is stay inside and bundle up. Try not to let the cold keep you cooped up. There’s several different sports you can try, teams you can join, which won’t just get you outside, they’ll keep you active and having fun!
Here’s some sports you can try this Autumn/Winter:

It’s not just a Summer sport, unless you live where the temperatures drop below freezing for longer than a day, tennis is a sport that can be enjoyed all year round outdoors. You just need to layer up! For those who aren’t that fortunate, indoor courts are an option to keep your fitness levels up and the social aspect of the game going during the colder months. It’s great for all around health, and some claim it can help you live longer!

For our UK customers, finding a Netball team to join might be far easier than a Basketball team while for our American customers the opposite will definitely apply. You might not even know what Netball is.. incase you don’t click here. These sports are great to get your heart rate up, learn/maintain team skills and have some fun! Again, it’s mostly played outside (especially in England) you just wear more clothes, but in the colder parts of the world, it’s probably best to head inside!

Whether it’s field hockey or ice hockey this is a great sport to enjoy in the Autumn and Winter months. You’ll burn off stress from your work day, get fresh air in the lungs, great for your health and bonus is the social aspect. Why not look up where your local teams play and how to get on the team or train with them

You might be lucky enough to live near a mountain, so skiing, snowboarding, sledging, ice skating, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and curling could all be options for you and/or your family this Winter. It’s an incredible way to enjoy the season, get some exercise and mostly have some fun while you’re at it!
